As a transformational physician executive, visionary operations leader and healthcare advocate, Dr. Alexander Kenton has a history of providing solutions to complex, “unsolvable” challenges for major Healthcare Systems.
Since 2004, Alexander has served in key leadership roles for Mednax, a $3B physician management company serving 3 hospital systems. His appointments include Director of Advocacy and Government Relations for Mednax & Director of Methodist Hospital Systems in Neonatology. Dr Kenton has been appointed to multiple executive committees including Mednax Executive Committee, Special Committee of the Texas Pediatric Society on Breast Milk Promotion in Texas and Fetal Infant Mortality Review Committee for the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District Health Start Program.
Dr. Kenton’s publications and abstracts have earned him both the Arnold J. Rudolph Award and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society Award. His global medical volunteer contributions include serving as Physician Advisor in Ghana, Africa and Volunteer Staff Physician and Medical Student.
Dr. Kenton’s earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch of Galveston and completed a Fellowship in Neonatology. He completed an MBA at Yale School Management in 2021 and Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He currently lives in New York with his wife and daughter and their dog, Foxy. When he is not working, Dr Kenton enjoys shopping, traveling, eating out and rowing to work off the calories he takes in while dining out.
